α Gri-X®︎ is a base ingredient for our products, originally developed by Dr.Recella.
α Gri-X®︎, which is a unique blend of deep sea water from Okinawa and mineral water from the foot of Mt. Koya, is used as a base ingredients for most of Dr.Recella's products.

Combining three types of
deep sea water of different depths

In the course of our research to utilize this water for skin care products, we found that the balance of minerals differs depending on the depth even within the same deep sea water.
What is deep sea water?
Deep sea water is seawater at depths of 200 m or more, where sunlight does not reach.
It is less affected by wastewater, contains fewer impurities, is rich in nature-derived minerals, and has a mineral balance similar to that of human skin.
Therefore, based on our innovative theory, we combined three types of deep sea water to produce a mineral balance that is as close as possible to that of human skin.
Deep sea water taken off the coast of Kudaka Island, Okinawa
There are several deep sea water intake points in the sea around Japan, but we chose deep sea water off the coast of Kudaka Island, Okinawa, because of its stable cleanliness and good mineral balance. We do not purchase deep sea water from a water intake company, but rather take it ourselves in order to ensure the highest quality.
Mineral components in their natural state with our special manufacturing process
General deep sea water used for drinking water, etc., may be processed to remove salt.
However, "α Gri-X®︎" is not processed to remove salt in order to preserve as much of the natural minerals as possible.
Because it is purified by a special process, it has almost no salty taste in the mouth, but the minerals are still retained.
Choosing mineral water at the foot of Mt. Koya as the water to be combined
In order to evolve a base ingredient that is well blended with the skin more, we researched all over Japan for natural water to combine with our special deep sea water, and as a result, we found at the foot of Mt. Koya in Wakayama.
Mt. Koya, surrounded by the Kii Mountain Range, is known as a spiritual site with a spiritual atmosphere. We used mineral water bubbling up at the foot of the mountain.
What is mineral water?
Mineral water is water that contains mineral components that naturally springs up from the ground. We have found that the mineral components of mineral water at the foot of Mt. Koya are very compatible with deep sea water in Okinawa, furthermore, it blends well with the skin and enhances its effectiveness.
